Out of concern for the safety of the core cast, executive producer Wendy implemented a complete blockade on the set, with no one allowed in or out without prior registration. In a touching scene, Max comforts a grief-stricken Piper, acknowledging how difficult it is to overcome the pain of losing her mother during such a turbulent event.
Surprisingly, aside from Matt’s suspiciously ‘in the repair shop’ car, none of the core cast’s cars show any signs of an accident. Further investigation leads them to Matt’s ruse – learning to ride horses for a new movie. When Yates and Ellis discover a body at the local stable where Matt practices, Max consults tech expert Ricky to extract the revealing recording from Matt’s car dashcam.
The truth is revealed: Matt accidentally knocked Margaret down, and the crew fabricated a false threat to divert the police’s attention. Three people were arrested, the case was closed, and the mystery was solved.
