Where can I find all the artifacts in Children of the Forest?

Discovery of artifact fragment A

To find Artifact Fragment A, head to a cave in the far northwest of the island, away from the center. Go through a narrow crack between the rocks and go straight, passing hanging branches and a small waterfall on the left. You’ll come to a rotten wooden fence, which you should break with your axe. Go through it, drop down the rope and keep going left until you reach another wooden fence. Break it, turn left, and at the end of the passage you’ll find a container with Artifact Fragment A.

Finding Artifact Fragments B

Artifact Fragment B is hidden in a cave northeast of the center of the island. Enter through the wooden fence near the blue crate, smash it with your axe, and then go down the slope on the right. Once you reach the bottom, you’ll see a rope hanging over a crack on the right.

Follow the rope down and walk along the ledge to break another wooden barrier ahead. Walk forward a short distance to find another descent point with a rope on the right. Follow the rope down and jump into the water below. Swim through the narrow cave, out of the water, and break another wooden barrier to find Artifact Fragment B in the room behind.

Artifact Fragment C is located in a cave slightly west of the center of the island. Enter the hidden cave through the boarded-up entrance in the hut. Destroy the barrier and climb down the rope at the end of the short passage, then enter the water on the right. Follow the path, across the makeshift planks, and destroy another barrier until you reach the bottom. Continue down, destroying the next barrier, then climb down another rope into the abyss. You’ll find Artifact Fragment C resting on a gleaming golden object with several Skeletons gathered around it.

Revealing the Artifact Fragment D

Artifact Fragment D is located in a cave just west of the center of the island, near the lake. Break through the wooden fence at the entrance and jump into the water on the left, passing through a series of passages and drop-offs. Go through a cave with a large waterfall, cross the wooden fence, and descend down the rope until you reach a larger cave with a strange object in the center of the cave. Go through the object, climb the rope to the corridor above, swim through a long corridor, and go through several drop-offs until you reach Artifact Fragment D in the cave ahead.

Excavation of Artifact Fragments E

Artifact Fragment E is located in a cave northeast of the center of the island. Enter through a narrow crack in the ground with a rope tied to the entrance. Go down the rope and follow the path straight ahead, dive into the water and break the wooden fence ahead. Go through the cave, past the wooden cross, and continue to descend until you find a container with Artifact Fragment E at the end of the corridor.

Children of the Forest gameplay

Sons of the Forest Development Company

Children of the Forest has been delayed twice since it was announced in December 2019. The game was originally scheduled to be released in May 2022, but was first delayed to October of the same year. Developer Endnight Games stated that the reason for the delay was the need to realize the game’s evolutionary vision in the survival game. However, in August 2022, there was another delay, pushing the release date back to February 23, 2023.

To alleviate further frustration, we have decided to launch the game in Early Access, announcing this decision on February 3, 2023. This approach is designed to provide players with access to the game while allowing developers to improve and enhance the experience.

Following the Early Access phase, Endnight Games announced on November 29, 2023 that version 1.0 of the game, featuring significant gameplay and story enhancements, would debut on February 22, 2024. This is a pivotal moment for developers and eager fans alike, as years of development effort and anticipation will finally come to fruition with the full release of Children of the Forest.
