People started talking about making a game for AEW in October 2019. They officially said they would be making the game in November 2020. This game is special because it is the first wrestling game Yuke’s has made since WWE 2K19 in 2018. After that, they stopped working with WWE. The style of AEW Fight Forever is similar to old-school wrestling games, especially WWF No Mercy for the Nintendo 64. The gameplay is like an arcade game, and the wrestlers look funny and are presented differently, unlike the more realistic wrestling games Yuke’s has made in the past.

They released the game for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on June 29, 2023. People had mixed opinions about the game. Some liked its old-school arcade style, but others didn’t like that it didn’t have a lot of modes and ways to customize.
