Pokémon Go
Developed and published by Niantic in partnership with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, Pokémon Go (stylized as Pokémon GO) is a 2016 mobile game using augmented reality (AR) technology and is part of the popular Pokémon series. The game, available on iOS and Android devices, uses GPS technology to allow players to locate, capture, train and battle virtual creatures called Pokémon, which appear as if they exist at the player’s actual location. The game is free-to-play with a freemium business model that combines native advertising and in-app purchases for additional in-game items. The game initially launched with around 150 Pokémon species, and has expanded to around 700 species in 2021.

Pokemon Go PVP Master League
- Pokémon Go has become a global sensation since its release in 2016. One of the game’s most popular features is PvP battles, where trainers can test their skills against other players around the world. The Master League is one of three leagues in Pokémon Go PvP, which allows players to use their most powerful Pokémon without CP restrictions.
- First on the list is Dialga, a Steel/Dragon-type Pokémon introduced in Generation 4. Dialga has excellent attributes and can learn powerful moves such as Dragon Breath and Iron Head. It is a popular choice in the Master League due to its versatility and ability to fight many of the top Pokémon.
- Next up is Melmetal, a steel-type Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee. It is known for its high defense and powerful moves such as Thunder and Rock Slide. Melumeta can also use his signature move “Double Iron Slam”, which hits twice and has a chance to cause flinch.
- Mewtwo is the first-generation legendary super-type Pokémon and the first choice in the Master League. Mewtwo has high attack power and special attack power, and can learn a variety of moves, including Psystrike and Shadow Ball. It is a versatile Pokémon that can take on many different types of opponents.
- Other top Pokémon in Master League include Groudon, Kyogre, and Zekrom. Groudon is a third-generation ground-type Pokémon that can learn powerful moves such as Earthquake and Fire Punch. Kyogre is a third-generation water-type Pokémon that can learn moves such as Surf and Blizzard. Zekrom is a fifth-generation Electric/Dragon Pokémon that can learn moves such as Dragon Breath and Wild Charge.
- It’s worth noting that the best Pokémon in Master League may change over time as new Pokémon are introduced and the meta evolves. It’s also important to have a well-rounded team that can take on a variety of opponents. When forming a team, consider the types of Pokémon you are likely to encounter in Master League and choose your Pokémon accordingly.
- All in all, Master League in Pokémon Go PvP is a challenging and exciting game mode that allows trainers to test their skills against the most powerful Pokémon. Dialga, Melmetal, and Mewtwo are the top picks in Master League, but there are many other viable options.

After players set up a game account, they can create and personalize their avatar, which is then displayed on a map that corresponds to the player’s physical location. The map features multiple locations such as “PokéStops” and “Pokémon Gyms”. “Bait Modules” can be attached to PokéStops to attract more wild and sometimes rare Pokémon. Gyms are used for team battles and are usually located at places of interest, often portals in Niantic’s previous game, Ingress. This has resulted in some PokéStops and Gyms being located in inconvenient or dangerous locations, such as the now-demolished North Korean Demilitarized Zone Gym and the abandoned Bagram Air Base, which was evacuated by the U.S. military in July 2021. Since 2019, players have also been able to submit new locations for inclusion in the game, which are largely evaluated by other players.
