Find the difficulty options:

  • In the lower left corner of the menu, look for options related to difficulty settings.

Select difficulty level:

Select the desired difficulty:

  • From the drop-down menu, select the difficulty level you want for your Nightingale experience.

Confirm and save the changes:

  • Confirm your selection to apply the difficulty level change. These adjustments can be made at any time.

Optional: Upgrade weapons and equipment:

Developed by Inflexion Games, Nightingale was released into Early Access on February 20, 2024 and became an instant hit. Set in a gaslit fantasy world, the game immerses players in the atmospheric charm of the Victorian era. Players will need to tackle survival challenges while facing a world full of mysterious elements as they explore this survival video game.

“Notably, Nightingale not only offers a survival experience, but also incorporates light role-playing features, providing players with quests that enhance the depth and appeal of this charming Victorian setting. As the game continues to develop in its early access phase, players can expect further developments and improvements to enrich their immersive journey in the world of Nightingale.”

Nightingale Gameplay

After a devastating catastrophe on Earth, Nightingale tells the story of interdimensional travelers seeking refuge in a procedurally generated realm. Players will control one of the travelers and traverse an intricate landscape in an effort to return to Nightingale – a refuge established among the Faewilds before the catastrophic “Pale” event. The game immerses players in a charming Victorian gaslit fantasy, complete with a steampunk aesthetic. Survival is paramount, requiring players to secure food, rest to recover, and gather resources to craft necessary tools.

From making sheets to gliding like Mary Poppins with an umbrella, Nightingale offers a dynamic survival experience where combat requires both melee weapons and guns. Engrossing dungeon crawling, raid-style combat, and encounters with literary characters like Victor Frankenstein and Mr. Hyde, who offer quests, add to the game’s multifaceted narrative.

Notably, players can recruit non-player characters as allies in combat and resource gathering, expanding the cooperative and strategic elements. As their journey progresses and enough resources are acquired, players can travel between different realms hosted on dedicated servers. Customization extends to realm selection, allowing players to tailor their experience based on biomes such as deserts, woodlands, and swamps, using cards to influence the characteristics of the world.

Nightingale accommodates both single-player and co-op play for up to six players, supporting both first- and third-person perspectives for enhanced immersive exploration of its meticulously crafted universe.
