Call of Duty releases patch notes
The November 1 update for Call of Duty’s Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone will focus on fixing bugs and other issues players are experiencing. It also makes adjustments to operator skins and weapon blueprints, and improves Warzone’s DMZ mode. The update comes as fans anticipate the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on November 10th.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II
“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II” is a first-person shooter game released in 2022 by Infinity Ward and published by Activision Blizzard. It is the sequel to the 2019 reboot and the nineteenth entry in the Call of Duty series. The game is available on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, and is set in a modern, realistic world.
The campaign follows Task Force 141 and the Mexican Special Forces Los Vaqueros as they hunt down a terrorist leader who possesses American-made ballistic missiles. It offers cross-platform multiplayer and a free-to-play battle royale mode called Warzone 2.0. Modern Warfare II received positive reviews, was a commercial success, and set revenue records for the series. The sequel “Modern Warfare III” is scheduled to be released on November 10, 2023 at the “Call of Duty” headquarters.
Call of Duty: Warzone
Call of Duty: Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale game developed by Raven Software and Infinity Ward and published by Activision. It was released on March 10, 2020 on PlayStation 4, Windows and Xbox One. It is part of the Call of Duty series and does not require the purchase of a specific game to play. Warzone allows up to 150 players to participate in online multiplayer battles, with cross-platform play and progression between related Call of Duty games.
The game features battle royale and loot modes, and introduces an in-game currency system, “Buy Stations” and “Loadout Drops” for custom categories. It received critical acclaim and quickly gained a large player base, with over 100 million downloads by April 2021.

The sequel “Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0” was released on November 16, 2022, and a mobile version is under development. Activision has announced that the original Warzone servers will shut down on September 21, 2023 to focus on Warzone 2.0.

The series has been extremely successful, selling over 400 million copies as of April 2021. New games are released every year, sales are huge, and it is recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the best-selling first-person shooter game series. It is the most successful video game series in the United States and one of the best-selling video game series worldwide. There are also action figures, card games, building sets, comics, and even a feature film in development related to the series.
