During the visual manifestation of the famous story of the death of the pencil, John Wick finds himself fighting an invincible sumo wrestler. The scene has a lot of physical comedy as John repeatedly punches the larger man to no avail, while the guy has no problem picking up John and throwing him across the street. However, this tension is abruptly (and hilariously) broken by Zero’s apparent fanboy moment when he gushes about John and his dog.

Caine was an interesting addition to the last film, to the point that there will be a John Wick spin-off about Caine. The character proves to be a competent fighter, dealing quick blows to his enemies, but is also well prepared with his motion sensor alarms on John Wick: Chapter 4 kitchen scene. However, the kitchen scene becomes a funny gag, as the sensors make a doorbell-like sound, which doesn’t fit the tone at all.

John Wick: Chapter 4 offers a brilliant setup and punchline in the Sacré Coeur staircase scene, made more hilarious by its length. Tense music plays as John reaches the long staircase and begins fighting several groups of people as he fights his way to the top. However, when he reaches the top, the punchline is delivered when John is knocked down countless stories. Just when you think it’s over, it falls further and shows a fantastic moment where John Wick It becomes more comedy than action.
