The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule for the ninth edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, scheduled to be held in Bangladesh from October 3 to 20. The announcement heralds an exciting clash between the world’s best cricketers, one that promises to engage and unite a new wave of cricket lovers around the world.

Ten powerful teams will play out 23 intriguing matches on the lush green grounds of the Sher Bengal National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka and the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet. The arena will see T20 cricket at its peak as the world’s best players battle it out for the coveted title.

The cricket schedule emerged at a prestigious gathering in Dhaka, also attended by the respected Chairman of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, Mr. Nazmul Hasan. Before the official schedule was announced, the Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina warmly entertained the team members at her official residence and expressed her sincere wishes for a World Cup victory.

2024 Women’s T20 World Cup Groups and Format
During the competition, each team will participate in four preliminary rounds. The top two teams from each group will then advance to the hotly contested semi-finals scheduled for October 17 and 18, with the final taking place in Dhaka on October 20.This is the group
Group A: Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka Group B: South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Scotland
A total of 23 matches will be played in the tournament in Dhaka and Sylhet over a period of 19 days. Reserved days have been allocated for both the semi-finals and finals to ensure uninterrupted play in the event of any disruption.
