Alex Meret Cavaliere OMRI (born 22 March 1997) is a highly regarded Italian goalkeeper currently playing for Serie A club Napoli and representing the Italian national team. Originally from Udinese, Meret began his football journey at amateur club Donatello Calcio before moving to the renowned Udinese youth system in 2012.
Meret’s early years at Udinese saw him progress through the academy, showcasing his talent as a goalkeeper. Meret was loaned out to SPAL where his contribution played a vital role in securing the Serie B title and promotion to Serie A in 2017.
