Alola form Pokémon
Alolan form Pokémon are special versions of certain Pokémon that look different than what you may be used to seeing. Think of your regular Pokemon like Gopher or Egg, but with a few differences! These Alolan forms first appeared in games such as Pokemon Sun and Moon for the Nintendo 3DS. The cool thing about these Alolan forms is that they’re able to adapt to different living environments, changing their appearance, and sometimes even their abilities.

These Alola-form Pokémon have made their way into places outside of the Alola region, such as Blueberry Academy, which you’ll explore in Indigo Disk. In this DLC, you will encounter and capture Alolan form Pokémon such as Alolan Gopher, Alolan Grimmer, and Alolan Coconut. Each of them has its own unique look that stands out from the regular versions you may have encountered before.
Where can I find the Alola Form Pokemon The Indigo Disk DLC?
In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s Indigo Plate DLC, finding Pokémon in Alola form is part of a mission given by the professor at Blueberry Academy. First, head to the coastal biome where you’ll meet Lacey.
The professor there wants you to do a short mission to catch Pokémon in Alolan form. If you don’t have an Alolan form Pokémon in your Pokédex, you can fight a trainer named Leo. Defeating Leo’s team will add the locations of these Alola Pokémon to your Pokédex. This makes it easier to find them in coastal biomes.
To easily capture the Alolan form of the Pokémon, head to a grassy hill to the north of the class. There, you’ll find Grimmer and Coconuts wandering around. Get close to one, weaken it in battle, and then try to capture it with a Poke Ball. Once you’ve caught the Alolan form Pokémon, return to the professor at Blueberry Academy and show it to them to complete the quest.
