Finals gameplay
In “The Finals,” it’s like a TV virtual fighting game show, with a virtual audience and commentary. The game is inspired by TV series like The Hunger Games and Gladiator. In the main mode, teams of three players compete to complete objectives, such as opening a vault and taking it to a “cash-out” location, a bit like capturing a flag. Taking into account various factors such as points, eliminations and goals, the winning team will receive the most prize money. Players earn in-game currency by defeating opponents and completing missions.
Players select characters based on three categories: “Light,” “Medium,” or “Heavy,” which affects their speed and abilities. Each class offers different weapons and equipment. The game encourages creative gameplay by allowing players to modify the environment, including destroying and building things. Different races also have different weather conditions and times of day.
When players are defeated, they turn into statues and teammates can resurrect them. If the resuscitating player has a defibrillator, it’s quick; otherwise, it takes about five seconds. Players can also choose to respawn themselves, but this costs “rebirth coins”, and you don’t have many of them.
