Street Fighter 6 Gameplay
Street Fighter 6 introduces three main game modes: Arena, World Tour, and Battle Center. In Fighting Ground, players can participate in local and online battles, as well as access training and arcade modes. These modes retain the familiar 2D fighting gameplay from previous Street Fighter games, with fighters utilizing a variety of attacks and special abilities to defeat their opponents.

World Tour offers a single-player story mode where players can customize their avatar and embark on an adventure in 3D environments, including Metro City and the country of Nayshall in Final Fight. This mode combines action-adventure gameplay with the rich lore of the Street Fighter universe.
Battle Center serves as an online lobby mode incorporating customizable player avatars from World Tour. In Battle Center, players have the opportunity to compete in ranked or casual matches using the avatars they create and the skills gained in World Tour mode. In addition, Battle Hub hosts special events and provides access to simulated Capcom arcade games, utilizing the same technology as the Capcom Arcade Stadium series, as well as other exciting features.
Street Fighter 6 revolves around the Drive Gauge system that is the basis of its main fighting game. The system is specifically designed to foster player creativity by offering a range of five different techniques. Players must make strategic choices about which technologies to prioritize during combat.
Many of the mechanics in Drive Gauge draw inspiration from previous Street Fighter games, including well-known elements like parries, focus attacks, and EX moves. This combination of familiar mechanics adds depth and familiarity to the gaming experience.
The game offers players three different control types. The “Classic” control scheme reflects the traditional six-button layout seen in earlier entries, maintaining similar functionality. The “modern” control scheme simplifies the layout to four buttons, providing a more streamlined approach combining special actions with directional input. Additionally, a “dynamic” control scheme is available in specific sections of Combat Ground mode. However, it is limited in online battles. This solution uses a single-button automatic attack layout and dynamically adjusts the attack range based on the player’s position.
