Sri Lanka to participate in 2024 T20 World Cup USA: As the teams gear up for the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup, Sri Lanka has also announced its 15-member squad. The team, endorsed by the Honorable Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Harin Fernando, features many young and experienced players.

Leading the way will be dynamic all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga. Hasaranga’s aggressive spin bowling and low-order batting have made him a central figure in Sri Lanka’s strategy.

The team will be manned by experienced batsman Angelo Matthews. He returns to the T20I squad after a three-year absence. This will be his sixth T20 World Cup, having previously participated in the 2014 Sri Lanka Championship. Former limited-overs skipper Dasun Shanaka further strengthens his leadership under current skipper Kusal Mendis (ODI captain) and Dhananjaya de Silva (Test captain)
