SMITE gameplay
SMITE offers a variety of game modes to suit different play styles and preferences. The main game mode is Conquest, which features a three-lane map inspired by Warcraft III’s Defense of the Ancients.
- In Conquest, two teams of five players battle to destroy enemy Phoenixes and Titans.
- Duel is another game mode, similar to Conquest, but with three players per team and a single lane. The map includes a jungle area and a powerful jungle boss called the Bull Demon King.
- Slash combines elements of duel and conquest, with two lanes and five players per team. It introduces competitive jungles and powerful jungle bosses that can spawn siege masters to help destroy buildings.
- Assault is a single-line mode where players are assigned random gods. Each team consists of five players, and the goal is to push through waves of minions and destroy enemy structures.
- Arena is a fast-paced mode set in an open Colosseum-style arena. There are no towers or titans, the goal is to reduce the enemy team’s score by killing gods and minions.
- SMITE also features a matchmaking system that uses a modified version of the TrueSkill ranking system. Players can choose between American and European servers, with the system designed to find the best match based on player skill. Ranked leagues utilize Elo ratings to match players with similar skill levels.
- These different game modes, along with a diverse selection of playable gods from across the pantheon, enhance the depth and variety of the SMITE gameplay experience.
