Skull and Bones Cobalt Locations, How to Get Cobalt in Skull and Bones?

Skull and Bones Cobalt Location

Looking for cobalt in Skull & Bones? Well, it’s like treasure hunting in the game’s oceans. You’ll mainly find it in ships and outposts that are level seven or higher. This means you have to be careful, especially if your ship isn’t super upgraded.

So where can you find this cobalt ore? Head to the coast of Africa, especially in the northwest near Ziwa Kubwa. There you’ll find several locations with cobalt ore. If you go up along the east coast you’ll probably find more.

But be prepared for a challenge! To get there, you’ll need to cross narrow waterways guarded by watchtowers. Be careful of Ungwana warships – they don’t take kindly to strangers. If your ship isn’t sturdy enough, they’ll quickly sink you.

Oh, and don’t forget to stop by the Sunken Gold Mine when you get to the area. You can always use fast travel to come back and collect more cobalt later. Have fun sailing!

How to get Cobalt in Skull and Bones?

Getting Cobalt in Skull & Bones is pretty simple. At first, Cobalt looks a lot like Nickel in the game, but trust me, they are different.

Now, to get Cobalt, you’ll need a Pickaxe. You’ll use this tool to collect Cobalt just like you would mine Copper or other metals. Amazingly, even though some shipwrecks may require a more advanced Level 2 Crowbar, you can still mine Cobalt using the basic Level 1 Pickaxe that you crafted in the Sainte-Anne tutorial.

When you’re ready to mine, it’s all about timing. There’s a quick time event where you have to hit a button prompt when the pickaxe icon lines up with the green zone. But hey, even if you hit it in the yellow zone, you’ll still get cobalt – it’s just that if you hit it in the green zone, you’ll catch more. So keep your eyes open, aim for that green zone, and you’ll be stockpiling cobalt in no time. Happy mining!

Skull and Bones

Skull and Bones is a new video game coming out in February 2024. It was made by Ubisoft Singapore and published by Ubisoft. You can play it on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Amazon Luna, or a computer with Windows.

The game is set in a time when pirates ruled the seas. It’s not exactly like history, though. It’s more like a fantasy version of the late 17th century, better known as the Golden Age of Piracy. You can become a pirate, take a ship out to sea, battle other ships, and search for treasure.

You can play Skull & Bones alone or with friends. The developers made this game using an engine called Ubisoft Anvil, which makes the game look very cool and realistic. It was supposed to be available on Google Stadia, but due to the shutdown of Google Stadia, this did not happen. So, if you like adventure games and love pirates and sea battles, keep an eye out for the release of Skull & Bones!

Skull and Bones Gameplay

In Skull & Bones, you become a pirate captain, sailing the high seas in search of treasure and glory. You take control of your own pirate ship, which you can customize to your liking. Whether you want to sail alone in a single-player adventure, or team up with friends for multiplayer battles, the choice is yours.

The game features exciting naval battles where you’ll need to use strategy and skill to outwit your opponents. You can use wind direction to your advantage in battle, and you’ll encounter various types of enemy ships, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.

As you progress, you’ll have the opportunity to collect more ships, each with its own weapons and abilities. From fast and agile sloops of war to heavily armed and powerful frigates, you’ll need to choose the right ship for the job.

Skull and Bones also features a multiplayer mode called “Loot Hunt” where you and your crew can compete with other players to find hidden treasures and claim them as your own. If you want to progress faster, microtransactions are available to help you customize your ship and crew. Get ready to set sail and embark on an adventure in Skull and Bones!

Skull and bone development

Skull & Bones began its journey as Ubisoft Singapore’s first project in 2013, inspired by the naval battles in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Initially conceived as an expansion to Black Flag and later an MMO spin-off called Black Flag Infinite, it evolved into a standalone project due to technical limitations.

There were significant hurdles during development, including a change in setting from the Caribbean to Hyperborea, before finally being set in the Indian Ocean. The gameplay was revised several times, with the focus shifting from naval exploration to land-based survival elements influenced by games like Rust. Budgetary issues and management challenges plagued the project, which cost more than $120 million.

Skull & Bones was announced at E3 2017, and subsequently experienced a series of delays, with the game originally set to release in 2018. A “new vision” emerged in September 2020, which led to further extensions to the development timeline and attracted involvement from other studios such as Ubisoft Berlin. Despite subsequent delays, including a closed beta in August 2023, the game’s release date was finally set for February 16, 2024, after a series of rescheduled release dates.
