Early access to Dragon Dragon Gaiden
“Like a Dragon: The Man Who Erased” does not provide early access options for players. In this game, you will follow Kiryu on an adventure as he works with the mysterious Daidoji faction. Players will also get new agent tools to enhance the gaming experience. Along the way, you’ll meet familiar characters from earlier Yakuza games, like Majima Goro and Dojima Daigo, as well as new characters like Nishitani Minoru III and Hanawa Kihei.
While Early Access isn’t an option, players can expect connections between previous Yakuza games and the next Yakuza game. Unlike the turn-based combat of the previous game, this game sticks to classic fighting style combat. So even without Early Access, Dragon Gaiden promises action-packed gameplay and emotional moments for both old fans and new players alike.

This adds depth to the gameplay and allows players to explore different aspects of the story.
The protagonist Kiryu has two different fighting styles. The Yakuza style is reminiscent of his classic melee combat, offering an aggressive and powerful fighting style. The agent style, on the other hand, is described as focusing on sheer speed and precision, relying on high-tech equipment to gain an advantage in combat. The game also has a nostalgic element as Kiryu gets to play some Master System games in the game. These classic games include Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Alien Syndrome, Enduro Racer, and more. These classic games provide players with a nostalgic experience and add an extra layer of fun to the game.

Yakuza Gaiden: The Man Who Erased has had an interesting journey during development. It all started when Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio director Masayoshi Yokoyama suggested expanding the backstory of beloved character Kiryu Kazuma between the events of the previous game. Originally, it was a downloadable content project for “Yakuza: Infinite Fortune”. However, the idea evolved into a full-fledged game.
“Yakuza Gaiden” was released in September 2022, and a movie trailer was released. According to reports, the length of this game will be slightly shorter than the main line work, and the game time is expected to be about 10-20 hours. Still, there are plenty of activities for players to enjoy. At the beginning of 2023, a unique event was held in which real models were chosen as hostesses in the Cabaret Club mini-game.
