P Stat Soft Hat’s Guide to Lies
In the game Lies of P, each stat has a certain limit, called a “soft cap.” These soft caps mean that when you upgrade your stats above a certain point, you won’t gain as much benefit as you would if your stats were lower.

- Vitality: 60 – It makes your character have more health and be better resistant to physical damage.
- Vitality: 60 – It increases your character’s stamina, making them more resistant to damage from fire, electricity, and acid.
- Capacity: 60 – It allows your character to carry more weight and use heavier Legion weapons.
- Power: 60 – This stat causes your weapons and Legion weapons to deal more damage if they increase with Power or Strength.
- Technique: 60 – This attribute increases the damage of weapons and legion weapons and scales with Technique or Agility.
Once you hit a stat’s soft cap, it’s generally not a good idea to keep investing points. Instead, you should focus on improving other stats or upgrading your gear, such as weapons and armor.
Which stats you choose to prioritize depends on how you like to play the game and the type of character you want to build. For example, if you like the melee style, you should focus on momentum and vitality. If you like attacking from a distance, then skill and dynamism should be your priorities.
Keep in mind that the soft caps for stats in Lies of P may change in future game updates, so it’s important to stay up to date on the latest changes.

In P’s Lies, a “soft cap” on stats acts like a limit, preventing your character from becoming stronger after reaching a certain level. For most stats, such as health and stamina, this limit is around level 60. This means that if you continue to increase your stats after reaching level 60, you will only see very small improvements.
For example, if you focus on stamina and reach level 60, you may only gain 1 or 2 points more, which is not much. So for most stats (especially health and stamina) it’s usually best to stop around level 35, unless you’re playing New Game Plus, which is a more challenging mode. The purpose of these soft caps is to encourage players to balance their character’s stats, rather than fitting everything into one stat.
These limits help players create different character builds by spreading points across various statistics. This way, the game remains balanced and doesn’t allow players to become too powerful in one area. So when developing your P-Lies character, remember to be aware of these soft caps.

How to respect statistics in P’s Lies?
In P’s Lies, if you accidentally put too many points into a stat and want to change it, you can do so via Respec. After completing Chapter 7, you will unlock the Lady of Mercy statue, which allows you to reset your character’s statistics. However, keep in mind that you will need to obtain the Coin Fruit from the Coin Fruit tree in the Clutter Hotel each time you want to respec.
It’s important to note that the more you use Respec to tweak your character, the more Gold Fruit you’ll need. Therefore, it is wise to consider your options carefully before confirming the Respec to avoid waiting too long for the fruit to grow on the tree.

P’s Lie gameplay
In Lies of P, you play as Pinocchio from a third-person perspective. You explore the city of Kratt on foot, fighting biomechanical enemies. Pinocchio wields swords, axes and other weapons, and he can dodge and block enemy attacks. He also has a robotic arm with gadgets like a grappling hook and a flamethrower. There are 30 different weapon types and 100 combinations to choose from.
The game has a “lie system” where your decisions affect the story, leading to three possible endings. Due to its challenging gameplay, Lies of P is often compared to games like Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro.
At Gamescom 2022, the game won the awards for “Best Action-Adventure Game”, “Favorite Sony PlayStation Game” and “Best Role-Playing Game”.
