The highly anticipated WEC game, Le Mans Ultimate Edition, will debut in Early Access this February, giving players an exclusive preview ahead of the full release. Developed by Studio 397, the game will offer a comprehensive experience covering all elements of the World Endurance Championship (WEC), including cars, drivers and tracks.
Despite the lack of a full release, players can expect to have access to all game modes during the Early Access period, with the exception of the co-op mode, which is scheduled to be released in summer 2024. Studio 397 explained that this decision was made to ensure a powerful and refined gaming experience for fans of the game.
Additionally, the game’s pricing strategy is designed to incentivize early players, with Le Mans Ultimate starting at a low price of £24.99/$32.99 during Early Access. The price will gradually increase as new content is added, encouraging players to join the endurance race as early as possible.

Motorsport Games unveiled plans for its new Le Mans game in 2021, but until recently, updates to the official WEC game were few and far between. In June 2023, Motorsport Games unveiled Le Mans Ultimate as the official WEC game for 2023. This exciting game promises to cover all drivers, teams, and tracks from the 2023 World Endurance Championship.

Development responsibilities have been entrusted to Studio 397, best known for developing rFactor 2. Le Mans Ultimate will utilise rFactor 2’s “cutting-edge physics” engine, ensuring an immersive and realistic driving experience for players.
The launch of Le Mans Ultimate marks a major milestone for Motorsport Games and endurance racing fans alike, delivering a comprehensive gaming experience that captures the essence of the World Endurance Championship. With meticulous attention to detail and advanced physics, the game aims to set a new standard for WEC racing simulations.
Le Mans Ultimate Game
Studio 397 has revealed a preview of the Le Mans Ultimate game, showing the Cadillac V-Series.R and Glickenhaus SCG 007 LMH Hypercar on tracks including Sebring. The game will support controllers for players without a racing wheel, but menu navigation will require a mouse and keyboard. Unfortunately, the game does not support mods, which means players cannot import their own cars or tracks.
Le Mans Ultimate features an impressive line-up of cars, including Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) and Le Mans Daytona class vehicles from top manufacturers such as Toyota, Ferrari and Porsche. Famous drivers such as Michael Kristensen and Sebastien Buemi will appear in the game.
Le Mans Ultimate launches with 12 cars across three classes and over 100 liveries, promising to bring players a realistic racing experience. The game uses the same engine as rFactor 2, but promises to offer even higher fidelity, including features such as dirt accumulation on bodywork and windows. In addition, the game includes tracks from the 2023 season, ensuring players can race on familiar tracks such as Le Mans.
