Iron Boulder Action Group
The Iron Boulder is a Psychic and Rock-type creature, which means it is susceptible to Water, Grass, Ground, Bug, Ghost, Dark, and Steel-type moves. On the other hand, it is resistant to normal, fire, poison, flying, and other psychic-type attacks.
The only power the Iron Monolith possesses is quark drive. This ability takes effect while Electric Terrain is in effect or the Iron Boulder holds item booster energy. When activated, Quark Drive enhances the Iron Monolith’s strongest properties.

Iron Monolith Best Build
Iron Boulder is a fast physical attacker in Indigo Disk in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. To maximize its performance, consider the following:
Nature and Electric Vehicle Communication:
- Attack power: 252
- Sp. Defense: 4
- Speed: 252
- Nature: Happy (+Speed, -Sp. Attack)
The focus of this setup is to increase the Iron Monolith’s physical attack and speed for optimal performance in combat.
Action group:
- Powerful Cleave: A powerful rock-type physical attack that can break through defensive actions such as “Protect” and “Burning Barrier”.
- Earthquake: Provides coverage against various Pokémon, dealing at least neutral damage to them.
- Close Combat: Another powerful area of coverage that allows the Iron Monolith to deal with a wide variety of opponents.
- Sword Dance: Increases the Iron Monolith’s attack power by two levels, allowing it to sweep through combat when set up correctly.
Items held:
The recommended item to hold for the Iron Boulder is to enhance energy. This item enhances its speed, ensuring it can outrun most opponents in combat.
Terra type:
For iron monoliths, the best Tera type is the newly launched Stellar Tera. While this type enhances the power of its non-STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) moves, it maintains the same defensive type as its original type. This gives the Iron Monolith extra punch in combat.
