“Fast and Furious” plot 2023
In the latest installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, Dominic Toretto and his team find themselves facing a high-stakes mission involving a computer chip heist in Rome, Italy. Dom decided to stay with his wife Letty Ortiz and their son Brian “Little B” Marcos while the rest of the team headed to Rome. However, their plans take an unexpected turn when notorious criminal Sif comes to Dom’s house asking for help.
Silver reveals that Dante Reyes, the drug lord’s son, has betrayed her and is using her men to target Dom to avenge his father’s death and the loss of the family fortune. While Cipher is detained by Little Nameless Agent, Dom and Letty learn that there are no official missions in Rome. They realize that Dante has framed them and now their team is in danger.
Meanwhile, in Rome, Dante locks Dom’s team in a truck with a metal ball bomb. Dom and Letty give chase as bombs are dropped on the city streets. Dom managed to push the bomb into the Tiber, minimizing the damage. Unfortunately, Letty is arrested and Agent Ames, who has taken over the leadership role in Mr. Nobody’s absence, believes Dom and his team are responsible for the bombing. They put a reward on his head and launched a manhunt.
Back in Los Angeles, Dom’s estranged brother Jakob comes to the rescue and rescues Little B from a kidnapping attempt. Jacob takes little B to a secret location in Portugal, where he waits for Dom. Mr. Nobody’s daughter Tess uses an advanced surveillance system called “God’s Eye” to find Dom in Naples. She told him that Dante was in Rio de Janeiro.
In Rio, Dom confronts Dante and agrees to compete in a high-stakes match. During the game, Dante reveals that he planted bombs in the car of Dom’s friend Diogo and Isabel Neves, the sister of Little B’s late mother. Unable to reach Diogo in time, Dom crashes into Isabel’s car to defuse the bomb, saving her while Diogo’s car explodes, killing him. Tess secretly visits Letty, who is being held at the Secret Service’s black site, and the two plan an escape together.
Meanwhile, in London, the rest of Dom’s team enlist the help of Deckard Shaw, a former rival turned ally. Deckard agrees to help them after learning that his mother also went on the run for helping Dom in the past. Ames tracks down and captures Dom, but their team is ambushed by Dante’s mercenaries. Ames and Dom team up to fight them off, while Tess arrives to aid. However, Dante reveals that he kidnapped Isabelle and Dom has no choice but to save her.
During the escape, Dante caught Little B, leaving Dom cornered by mercenaries. Jacob selflessly sacrifices himself to eliminate the mercenaries, allowing Dom to rescue his son. The team reunited in Portugal but Dante continued to pose a threat. When they are trapped between two drone-operated semis, Ames is revealed to be a double agent working for Dante and shoots down the plane carrying Dom’s team.
Dom made a bold move and drove the car off the edge of the dam, landing safely in the water below. However, Dante reveals that the dam is rigged with explosives and detonates them. In Antarctica, Letty and Sif manage to escape the Black Site, and to everyone’s surprise, Giselle Yashar, previously thought dead, emerges from a submarine to rescue them.
In the post-credits scene, Luke Hobbs and his agents burst into a church, where Dante contacts Hobbs, revealing that he is the next target to kill Dante’s father.
