Prevent mines in Steamworld Build
To avoid collapse in SteamWorld Build, it is crucial not to leave large open spaces in the mine without support. Determining the exact size of a potential collapse can be tricky due to factors such as canyons and reinforced walls. An easy way to check if an area is at risk is to use the Infrastructure tab in the build menu. Select the Pillar option and any weak spots in the mine will be highlighted with translucent blue striped tiles.

If you don’t use the strut option, watch for signs of impending collapse. Rumbling sounds and rocks or debris falling from the ceiling are telltale signs. Your last warning appears as a red tab above your mini-map, displaying a cave-in symbol. Click this tab to go directly to the affected area. Once there, select the strut option to identify and strengthen weak points to prevent collapse.

How to prevent mines from appearing in Steamworld Build?
In SteamWorld Build, preventing cave-ins is critical to safe, successful mining operations. There are two simple ways to achieve this, both of which are quick and easy to implement.
Structural support pillars:

To prevent cave-ins, use pillars strategically. When you place a pillar on the map, the highlighted square will show the area it can support. Find the weak point shown by the blue striped tile and place the pillar there. For optimal coverage without overlapping, consider spacing posts four tiles apart. Note that pillars will not block rooms or doorways, but structures, including conveyor belts, cannot be built on them. Use the move command to easily reposition the pillars when needed.
Reinforce walls for safety:
Give your miners time to automatically reinforce walls during inactivity. This creates a safe area approximately two to three blocks away from the wall. While this method is suitable for smaller areas, for large open areas, columns are recommended. Be careful as falling debris from a collapse could injure miners and damage facilities or equipment. Additionally, at deeper mine depths, enemy attacks may target and destroy mine pillars, so staying vigilant during large battles is crucial. Remember, preventing collapse ensures the safety and efficiency of mining operations in SteamWorld Build.

SteamWorld Build is a game that combines different types of games. First, players must create and manage a mining town on a strange planet. They build roads, houses and other things for the people in the town. It is important to meet residents’ needs to ensure they are satisfied. As players continue, they unlock new buildings and technologies and can make their workers better. The town’s success is measured by achieving targets based on total population.
Once the player has collected enough materials to repair the mine, the second part of the game begins. In this installment, players not only build a working mine, but also recruit miners to explore an old, abandoned mine. The goal is to find ancient technology that might help them leave Earth. Along the way, players must collect ores and resources to expand their town. Miners need weapons to face the monsters in the mines. As a town gets larger, it attracts more engineers, allowing the player to recruit more miners and increase the town’s mining capabilities.
