Know your car:

Your car is your lifeline at Pacific Avenue. Take care of it, service it regularly, and upgrade it.

Dealing with quirks:

When your car takes damage, it will exhibit odd behaviors, like doors randomly opening or the radio malfunctioning. Use the car repair shop’s service bay to diagnose and fix these oddities by experimenting with cause and effect.

Repair and Replacement Parts:

When your car is damaged, you can use patching putty to repair it. However, sometimes it is better to replace old and worn parts rather than repair them.

Get out of trouble:

If your car is stuck, you can kick it or use ARC teleport to teleport it to you. Teleporting consumes a lot of battery, so be prepared with a battery jumper.

Gather resources:

Explore areas to find resources like scrap metal, plastics, and electronics. You can scrap items like computers and radios in the auto repair shop to get electronic components for crafting.

Unlocking Technology:

Use the crafting station to unlock new gear and upgrades for your car. Spend resources and steady energy to unlock items like better tools and puncture-proof tires.

Collect anchor points:

Collect Stability Anchors in areas to gain Stability Energy, which unlocks new technologies at the Manufacturing Station. Find ways to collect multiple anchors per trip to maximize the amount of energy you collect.

Using Anchor Radar:

Unlock the anchor radar early to help you find your anchor, especially at intersections where the anchor is obscure. This tool is very useful for navigating areas.

Scanning exception:

Use the Machinist’s Eye Headset to scan anomalies and other objects in the area. Scanning certain anomalies unlocks new technologies and upgrades for the Manufacturing Station.

Pacific Avenue

Pacific Drive is a survival game. You can explore the Pacific Northwest on foot or by car. There are metal monsters trying to grab your car. You can repair and modify the car in the garage. The game uses a first-person perspective, which makes you feel like you are there.

The idea for Pacific Avenue came to Alexander Delacourt while driving on the Olympic Peninsula. He began working on the game with the team at Ironwood Studios in 2019. They announced the game in 2022 and released it on PlayStation 5 and Windows PC in 2024.

People liked the game’s atmosphere, characters, and the way you could change cars. But some found the game a bit repetitive and difficult.

Pacific Avenue Gameplay

In Pacific Road, players need to survive in a dangerous place called the Olympic Exclusion Zone. You can repair and change cars in the garage, which is like your base. You can use special headphones to check the health of the car and fix any problems with the car, such as the horn sounding when turning the steering wheel.

Sometimes you can do simple repairs while driving, like changing a tire or fixing something with a blowtorch. But for bigger repairs, you’ll need to go back to the garage. In your garage, you can also use the Invention Station to make new things, like helping you find new roads, refueling your car, or taking care of machines in your area.

While out exploring, your car may be attacked by metal monsters that will chew on your car. You must use a circular saw to get rid of them. There are also other dangers such as electrical problems and obstacles that interfere with your electronic devices.

During your journey, you can find new places to explore and discover ways to improve your car. You can also find notes and talk to other characters to help you escape from dangerous areas.

In each level you have to collect energy cores to open the door to the garage. But be careful, because doing so will make the world more dangerous, with more enemies and storms to hurt you.
