Western Location
To find the first cooking pot, head to the west side of the island where there is a small abandoned campsite, just east of two rivers. In the middle of this campsite you will find the cooking pot, which is easy to see once you arrive.
Eastern Location
To get the second cooking pot, go to the largest lake on the east side of the map. Look for the bunker entrance, you will need the guest keycard to enter. Once inside the bunker, go through the hallway until you reach a room with furniture and a furnace. The cooking pot is located on top of the furnace.

Strengthen fire protection requirements
Make sure you have a strong fire source, as a makeshift campfire will not be enough for the cooking pot.

Looking for a Cooking Pot in Children of the Forest? You’ve come to the right place. There are two locations on the island that offer this cooking pot, which can be used to cook delicious meals. The first pot is conveniently located in the middle of an abandoned camp on the east side of the two rivers. No special conditions are required to obtain it.
The second, slightly more challenging discovery is to head to the east side near the largest lake. In the bunker, where the action camera is also located, there is a second cooking pot. To access it you need the guest keycard. Go through the hallway and use the keycard to open the double doors, triggering a cutscene, and reach the furnace in the furnished room. The cooking pot is sitting on top, ready to be used.
Once acquired, fill the pot with water, just like a water bottle, and interact with a nearby lake or stream. Return to the fire, press “E”, and place the pot on top. Hover over the gear interface to explore the various dishes and add ingredients as normal. These pots provide a tastier alternative to dried fish, enhancing your survival experience in Children of the Forest.

Children of the Forest has been delayed twice since it was announced in December 2019. The game was originally scheduled to be released in May 2022, but was first delayed to October of the same year. Developer Endnight Games stated that the reason for the delay was the need to realize the game’s evolutionary vision in the survival game. However, in August 2022, there was another delay, pushing the release date back to February 23, 2023.
To alleviate further frustration, we have decided to launch the game in Early Access, announcing this decision on February 3, 2023. This approach is designed to provide players with access to the game while allowing developers to improve and enhance the experience.
Following the Early Access phase, Endnight Games announced on November 29, 2023 that version 1.0 of the game, featuring significant gameplay and story enhancements, would debut on February 22, 2024. This is a pivotal moment for developers and eager fans alike, as years of development effort and anticipation will finally come to fruition with the full release of Children of the Forest.
