Fall Guys Update 1.35 Patch Notes Includes Buf Fixes and more

Fall Guys

Fall Guys is a popular platform battle royale game where up to 40 players control bean-shaped characters in a variety of mini-games. These mini-games are called “rounds” and include obstacle courses and survival challenges. As the rounds progress, players are eliminated until only one person remains. The game is inspired by game shows and arcade games such as hide and seek.

The game was originally published by Devolver Digital for PlayStation 4 and Windows in August 2020, and the publishing rights were later acquired by Epic Games. The game was released for free in June 2022 and released on other platforms such as Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It also has full cross-platform play capabilities.

Fall Guys was widely praised for its chaotic gameplay and visuals. It was a commercial success, selling over 10 million copies and attracting over 50 million players. The game now uses a battle pass system to earn money and offers avatar customization. Since its release, the game’s developer, Mediatonic, has released numerous updates.

Fall Guys 1.35 Update Patch Notes

The upcoming Fall Guys survival update gives designers a lot of power to create tricky challenges. Players can vanish, use explosive game changers, and make survival rounds with disappearing floors. In addition, the new Fame Pass will be available from March 5, allowing players to evolve their wardrobe with costumes such as dinosaurs or ducks.

More power to you!

With great power comes great responsibility…

Invisibility

Bean being seen? The stealth boost will solve that problem, allowing sneaky players to disappear from view. We can’t wait to see the rounds (or not) you make with this.

uninvited guest

This projectile rhino allows players to change the game. Firing our rhino-shaped friend will blast it in a straight line, and it will detonate after a few seconds, or explode when a bean gets too close!

Like and survive

Build a survival round with a falling floor and prepare for some honest feedback…

Disappearing tiles

Add disappearing hexagon tiles to your creative rounds, they disappear after a set time or when a clumsy bean steps on them. They disappear!

Elimination Zone

No round is safe with the new Elimination Zone. A resizable, rotatable, placeable zone where any bean that strays into it will either end the game in Survival or respawn the player in Speedrun.

Personal starting point in survival competition

Choose where players sit at the start of their round!

Survival Bullet

With all these new additions, now is the perfect time to add Survival Rounds to Creative Mode. Build levels where only one bean remains alive, or where multiple beans survive, it’s up to you!

Creative round likes

Fun fact: Beans have thumbs, so we’re going to use them to our advantage. Players can now like or dislike creative rounds they’ve played. This lets creators know how popular their rounds were!

Exploding balls in creative rounds

You heard me right! Our chaotic, fun and explosive Blast Balls are now available in Creative, which means you can add these time bombs to your own Creative Rounds!

Volcano Background

Ready to catch the heat? Use the Volcano Background to give your round the perfect volcano victory backdrop!

We’re excited to see what kind of chaos you can create with our survival updates, and we might even feature some of your dangerous designs in the future. No tags needed, build your survival round, post it, and we’ll find it! Using slime is encouraged of course!

Experience new fashion with this celebrity pass

Admire the big teeth of the Granny Wisdom Wolf costume, but don’t get too close! Yearning to go green? Become a duct-taped T-Rex in a DIY Rex costume, and we’re sure you’ll grow a legit leaf costume.

We’re not making toys: The Mew Mew Bot costume is a bionic blaster toy. The Rubber Duckie costume is more than just a plastic mallard duck. It also comes with a soap bath and towel.

Wear the shiny neon bone costume and you’ll discover that beauty is more than skin deep. Lastly, you’ll go crazy for the lobster tail wearable. Beyond that, there are emotes, celebrations, compliments, Show-Bucks, and more!

Free up space in your closet! Our new Hall of Fame Passes are coming soon, and will go on sale on March 5th at 12pm GMT!

How to play Fall Guys

Fall Guys can accommodate up to 40 players in a battle royale-style game. Players control jelly-like characters and use movements such as jumping, grabbing/climbing, or diving to navigate a three-dimensional game field. The goal is to qualify for the next round by completing randomly selected mini-games with various challenges.

The mini-games in Fall Guys include a race to the finish line, a survival round to avoid being smashed into slime, a hunting round to collect items, a logic round to use memory, a team round to defeat the other team, an invisible bean round with an invisible team, and a finals round where the remaining players compete in a final round. The winner is either the last player standing or the first player to complete the finals round.

Players can use the in-game currency “Kudos” to purchase cosmetic items for their characters, such as nameplates, patterns, and colors. Kudos are earned by completing challenges, fame passes, or participating in events. Winning matches rewards players with Crowns, a premium currency, but now only counts toward Crown tiers. When the game is free, any unused Crowns are converted to Kudos.

Fall Guys release date

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout was announced at E3 in June 2019 and released on PlayStation 4 and Windows on August 4, 2020. The game allows up to 40 players to compete in a battle royale-style game, controlling jelly bean-shaped characters on a three-dimensional playing field. Players must qualify for subsequent rounds by completing randomly selected mini-games with various challenges.

The game’s success led to an update to the first season, and a medieval-themed second season was released on October 8, 2020. In August 2020, Bilibili announced a China-exclusive mobile version for Android and iOS. The game was later released on June 21, 2022 for free and on other platforms including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with cross-platform play.

In March 2021, Mediatonic and its parent company were acquired by Epic Games, allowing it to focus on cross-platform compatibility and updates. With the release of Xbox and Nintendo Switch, the game transitioned to a free-to-play system, without the need for a console subscription service such as PlayStation Plus. Players who purchased the game before the transition will receive a “legacy pack” containing cosmetics and rewards.

In November 2022, Mediatonic announced a new feature called “Vaulting” which aims to temporarily remove some rounds for stability. In February 2023, they announced the extension of the season and launched a level editor called “Creative”. Since Season 3, Jukio Kallio no longer composes music for the game. Future planned features include Sonic the Hedgehog-style rolls, wall jumps, and power-ups.

On August 16, 2023, Epic announced that it would phase out “Seasons” in favor of more frequent updates, while “Celebrity Pass” would remain. Due to inflation, the price of “Show Coins” has increased in some areas. Despite Epic Games’ massive layoffs, “Fall Guys” and “Rocket League” will not be discontinued, and Epic will continue to invest in them.
