Synopsis of The Kidnapped Scholar
In Assassin’s Creed Phantoms, most contracts offer bonus objectives for additional rewards, usually involving tasks such as remaining undetected or taking out targets using firepower. However, the contract, titled “The Kidnapped Scholar,” takes an unusual turn, requiring players not to kill anyone. This task may seem daunting to an assassin, but thanks to non-lethal tools like sleep darts, it’s achievable. Completing this contract without being discovered by the bandits who kidnapped the scholar is already quite a sense of accomplishment.
First up, the “Kidnapped Scholar” is one of six contracts available from the Bureau of the Hidden Ones, and offers valuable rewards including two skill points, Scholar’s Tokens, and components. Achieving bonus goals allows players to earn more Scholar Tokens and extra money.
To rescue the scholar non-violently, head to the Badalaya Sand Camp northwest of the Oasis Viewpoint and southwest of the Observatory Viewpoint. It’s best to approach the camp from the south so the bandits can’t see Basim. Use Enkidu to mark the bandits’ locations as you approach the camp, most of which is out in the open. The key to success is to avoid a pair of patrolling bandits that move clockwise around the camp. Wait for them to pass and quickly move to the tall grass near the central storage area, where the injured scholar is.

Use the grab button (Y on Xbox controller) to pick up scholars who cannot move independently. Even though he takes up space and talks, it doesn’t complicate sneaking out of camp. However, Basim cannot climb with scholars, so the only exit is at ground level, making long grass priceless.
To leave camp, retrace your steps and move from meadow to meadow to avoid the Watchtower Bandits. Watchtower guards may spot Basim leaving, but have enough distance to reach the outer grassy area before being spotted. The contract would not end until Basim had taken the scholar further away from the camp. Once safe, the player can press the grab button again to release the scholar. The scholar will stand up, a conversation will take place, and the contract will end, giving the player their due reward.

Assassin’s Creed Phantoms game information
Assassin’s Creed Phantoms is a video game produced by Ubisoft. It is part of the Assassin’s Creed series and launches on October 5, 2023 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. It will also launch on iPhone 15 Pro models in early 2024.
The game is set in Baghdad in the 9th century, a period of chaos. It follows a character named Basim ibn Ishaq, who starts out as a thief but later joins a group called the Brotherhood of Assassins. They fought for peace and freedom, while their enemies, the Templars, wanted peace through control.
This game is different from some recent games in the series. It focuses more on a simple story and cunning gameplay than recent games with more role-playing elements.

Assassin’s Creed Phantoms delivers an action-packed stealth gaming experience. It’s designed to remind players of older Assassin’s Creed games, focusing more on a linear and story-driven approach and less on complex role-playing elements. Key elements of the game include parkour, close combat, and cunning tactics.
When it comes to assassination missions, the game adopts a “black box” design, where players need to explore the environment and find creative ways to eliminate the target. The game is mainly set in Baghdad and is divided into different areas, including the famous Round City and the House of Wisdom. Unlike recent games in the series, Baghdad is smaller and more like the cities in earlier games. Players control the protagonist Basin, who possesses a variety of weapons and tools such as hidden swords, smoke bombs, and poison darts. These can be upgraded through the skill tree.
Asim also has a companion eagle named Enkidu for reconnaissance, but be careful, enemy archers can spot and attack Enkidu. A new ability called Assassin Focus lets players take out multiple enemies at once, and it recharges when you perform stealth assassinations. Additionally, Baghdad has pillars to help you cross wide gaps, and the game’s movements and animations have been improved for a smoother experience, drawing inspiration from various samurai styles such as samurai and ninja.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage plot
“Assassin’s Creed Phantoms” is set many years before the events of “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla” and tells the story of Basim ibn Ishaq, a young street thief in the city of Anbar. Basim is haunted by visions of the vicious Ginny, and his friend Neil helps him cope. Basim wants to join the Hidden Ones, a secret organization fighting for justice. He tries to steal an important artifact from the Caliph’s palace, but gets into a dangerous situation.
Nihal eventually rescues him, but they are forced to flee as the palace guards begin hunting the thief. Basim blames Nehal and abandons her. With the help of a Hidden named Roshan, he escaped to their mountain fortress of Alamut, where he trained and eventually became a Hidden. Sent to Baghdad to investigate the group’s growing influence, Basim discovers that the secretive organization is trying to uncover ancient artifacts. He embarks on a mission to stop them, meeting Nihal again and revealing his true identity as Loki. The plot unfolds as Basim seeks answers and reunites with those connected to his past.
