difficulty
- All 4 difficulties have been renamed and rebalanced and now have a dedicated screen, along with an explanation of what to expect!
- You’ll find that the world’s magazines aren’t always filled with higher difficulty rounds. You need to clear more items while getting less total ammo!
- The highest difficulty spikes have been smoothed out while still largely retaining their original feel. Notable changes are the “Sunset Riders” final battle and the “OOPS” bridge and final battle.
- Use our new system to configure fungus counts on each difficulty, greatly increasing the amount of fungi spawned in Survival and Revelations.
- The new difficulty is called “Story, Adventure, Survival, Apocalypse.” We recommend that most players with VR experience give Survival a try!
- Story is designed for players who want to experience the campaign without too many threats or challenges – allowing you to focus on the story and play catch with Buddy!
- “Adventure” is suitable for those new to VR. You may enjoy some challenge, but prefer that it still work to your advantage.
- “Survival” is how we’ve always envisioned Arizona Sunshine 2 to be experienced. This is the recommended difficulty level for those with VR experience.
- “Apocalypse” is for those who want a hardcore zombie experience. You have to clear every nook and cranny to get through, and it only takes a few hits to die.
switch grip
- Added new grip mode option. You can now choose “Switch Grip Strength” in settings!
- Switch Grip will cause your weapon to stick to your hand even if you stop pressing the Grip button.
- Fully lowering the weapon – for example to share with your partner – can be accomplished by holding down the underside button for 1 second.
balance
- Changed the Tommy Gun to use rifle ammo instead of pistol ammo to make it a more viable option!
- Health regeneration on all difficulties has now been fixed, preventing the red “jumping” vignette from sticking around on higher difficulties if you can’t find any food.
- Made the shotgun do more damage on higher difficulties, now allowing you to still kill zombies in one hit if you’re close enough!
- Reduced the penetration of shotguns to prevent one bullet from penetrating 5 zombies at the same time.
- Made the M67 frag grenade have a larger blast radius, while slightly reducing the radius of stick grenades.
- Zombies’ attack impact scores should now better match their animations, preventing unfair situations where you take damage before a zombie can visually hit you.
- Dynamic ammo generation will no longer be as difficult when you start running out, preventing you from finding some overstuffed ammo boxes from time to time.
Fixes and Tweaks
- LIV support has been added, allowing content creators to better capture their experiences!
- Reduced respawn delay after death, now allowing you to reload levels earlier.
