While he tragically passed away aged only 25, the best Angus Cloud movies and TV shows reveal that the Euphoria star had a solid career ahead of him. Angus Cloud rose to fame as Fez in Euphoria, becoming a fan-favorite character across the first two seasons of the show. 2019’s Euphoria season 1 led to several Angus Cloud movie appearances, starting with the indie coming-of-age skater drama North Hollywood in 2021. Sadly, Cloud passed away in July 2023 due to an accidental drug overdose, meaning the majority of his feature-film appearances were released posthumously.
There were four Angus Cloud movies released following his death, and all of them showed that his talent and range as an actor was far wider than characters like Fezco in Euphoria. Cloud proved he was a solid presence in thrillers, horror-comedies, and dramas, and the Angus Cloud movies that arrived after his untimely passing underlined just how tragic his death truly was. Almost every Angus Cloud movie and TV show was received incredibly well by critics and audiences, showing that he could have gone on to be known for much, much more than Euphoria.

Based on Jim Davis’s comic series, Garfield is a new imagining of the lasagna-loving cat and his friends, opting for a fully computer-animated approach. Chris Pratt voices the titular cat, with the film aiming to explore his early days and new misadventures for him, his friends, and his family.
Director Mark Dindal Release Date May 24, 2024 Cast Chris Pratt , Samuel L. Jackson , Nicholas Hoult , Cecily Strong , Hannah Waddingham , Brett Goldstein , Bowen Yang , Ving Rhames Runtime 101 minutes
When it comes to Angus Cloud movies and TV shows, 2024’s The Garfield Movie is the weakest entry from both the perspective of his role, and the overall quality of the film. Garfield is one of the most successful comic strips of all time, but it has been plagued by a string of weak big-screen adaptations, and the 2024 movie was the latest addition to the underwhelming saga that are the Garfield films.
Angus Cloud plays Snickers, a purple cat who used to be part of the same gang as Garfield’s biological father, Vic. It’s a small role, and one that doesn’t really utilize any of the talent Angus Cloud displayed in shows like Euphoria or movies like Abigail. The most noteworthy thing about The Garfield Movie are the other names on the cast list alongside Cloud, which includes the likes of Chris Pratt, Samuel L. Jackson, Nicolas Hoult, and Snoop Dogg.
7 North Hollywood (2021)
Angus Cloud Plays Walker
Outside of The Garfield Movie, the films starring Angus Cloud have been almost-universally solid, with the majority receiving mostly-positive reviews from critics. North Hollywood was Cloud’s first feature-film appearance, and he shared the screen with the likes of Vince Vaughn and Miranda Cosgrove. The 2021 movie may have done much better on its theatrical release had it not arrived during the many lockdowns of the COVID-19 pandemic, but it remains a solid comedy drama all the same.
Angus Cloud plays Walker in North Hollywood, the coming-of-age skateboarding movie produced by Pharell Williams. Walker is one of the close friends of the central character, Michael, who dreams of being a pro-skater against the wishes of his dad, Olive (Vaughn). While Walker wasn’t a central character, it was a strong feature-film debut for Angus Cloud.

Angus Cloud starred alongside the likes of Pedro Pascal, Jay Ellis, and the singer Normani in the 2024 anthology action-comedy Freaky Tales, which was the second movie to posthumously feature the Euphoria actor. Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a screenplay co-written by the pair, Freaky Tales covers four interconnected stories that take place in 1987, all set in Oakland, California.
The performances of the cast, including Angus Cloud as Travis, were singled out in the positive reviews of Freaky Tales from critics. It was the narrative that ultimately ensured the 2024 movie isn’t more widely known (despite having a cameo from none other than Tom Hanks as a video store employee). While it’s not the strongest Angus Cloud movie, it’s still widely regarded as both funny and entertaining, despite not quite being as acclaimed as the bold concept was perhaps aiming for.

Your Lucky Day is a 2023 crime thriller from writer-director Daniel Brown and features Angus Young in his final film role before his passing. When a down-on-his-luck drug dealer named Sterling overhears a man scan a lottery ticket worth $156 Million, his decision to steal it leads to a deadly shootout and a small group of hostages. Determined to survive, Sterling offers the witnesses a cut, leaving them to decide how far they’re willing to go for a better life.
Director Daniel Brown Release Date November 10, 2023 Cast Angus Cloud , Elliot Knight , Jessica Garza , Sterling Beaumon , Mousa Hussein Kraish , Jason Wiles , Sebastian Sozzi , Spencer Garrett , Jason O’Mara Runtime 89 Minutes
2023’s Your Lucky Day was the first Angus Cloud movie released after his tragic death. Unlike North Hollywood, the Euphoria star leads the cast of this intriguing action-thriller. The plot of Your Lucky Day focuses on Angus Cloud’s character, Sterling, who is down on his luck when he witnesses a customer at a gas station win $165 million from a Lottery ticket.
Sterling tries to rob the man, but the situation quickly spirals out of control and turns into a hostage situation. Your Lucky Day is as much a commentary on economic disparity as it is a thriller, and it was received incredibly well by most critics. Of all the movies released after Angus Cloud passed away at the young age of 25, it’s perhaps Your Lucky Day that gives the best glimpse of the star he could have been had his life gone differently.

The Line is a 2023 drama movie by director Ethan Berger that explores a fictional fraternity group and the traditions it adheres to. When fraternity member Tom begins to dive deeper into the brotherhood, lured in by the promises of a better life and ensured connections, he initially thinks nothing of it. However, after meeting a classmate, Annabelle, and witnessing a disturbing hazing incident, Tom’s belief in the brotherhood is shaken.
Director Ethan Berger Cast Alex Wolff , Lewis Pullman , Halle Bailey , Austin Abrams , Angus Cloud , Scoot McNairy , John Malkovich , Denise Richards Runtime 100 Minutes
The 2023 drama The Line is the only movie starring Angus Cloud released prior to his death in July 2023. The movie, which was directed by Ethan Berger from a script co-written with Alex Russek, focuses on a frat house with a somewhat disturbing set of hazing rituals. Alex Wolff, Lewis Pullman, and Halle Bailey lead the cast, though Angus Cloud still has a relatively strong presence as frat house member Robert DeWitt.

Critics praised The Line as an incredibly sophisticated commentary on the state of higher education in the United States. The plot offers an unflinching look at just how far some fraternity houses push their pledges, and the strangely unwavering loyalty they demand from their members. While Angus Cloud’s performance doesn’t necessarily stand out as much as in the likes of Euphoria or Your Lucky Day, The Line is inarguably one of the best movies he’s been a part of.

Abigail is a 2024 horror thriller directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. The plot follows a group of people who kidnap the daughter of a dangerous crime lord only to discover that the little girl is actually a vicious vampire out for blood. Alisha Weir stars as the titular character alongside Kathryn Newton, Melissa Barrera, and Dan Stevens.
Director Matt Bettinelli-Olpin , Tyler Gillett Release Date April 19, 2024 Cast Kathryn Newton , Dan Stevens , Giancarlo Esposito , Kevin Durand , Melissa Barrera , Alisha Weir , Angus Cloud , William Catlett Runtime 109 Minutes
While it technically released before The Garfield Movie, 2024’s Abigail is the last movie starring Angus Cloud, and is undoubtedly the best when it comes to his feature-film appearances. The horror-comedy was a hit with audiences and critics alike, with all of the cast, Angus Cloud included, giving hilarious performances. Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, Abigail focuses on a group of criminals hired to act as bodyguards for the young daughter of a mobster.
However, it soon transpires that the titular Abigail is a vampire, and the group has been brought to her home not for protection, but as food. Angus Cloud plays Dean in Abigail, a getaway driver who’s also a completely unapologetic sociopath. It was a great role for the late Euphoria star, and showed his talents stretched far beyond playing teenage and college-age characters in coming-of-age stories or gritty thrillers.

Euphoria is a teen drama created by Sam Levinson and starring Zendaya, Maude Apatow, and Angus Cloud. The series deals with the dark reality of a drug-addicted teen on her road to recovery as she faces a multitude of challenges and issues.
Cast Storm Reid , Jacob Elordi , Maude Apatow , Hunter Schafer , Zendaya , Barbie Ferreira , Alexa Demie , Nika King , Colman Domingo , Eric Dane , Sydney Sweeney , Angus Cloud , Algee Smith Release Date June 16, 2019 Seasons 2
The most well known TV show starring Angus Cloud is, of course, Euphoria. Cloud’s role as Fezco in the show, which also stars the likes of Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya, is what put him on the map and led to every single one of his appearances on the big screen. Fezco, or ‘Fez’, is a favorite among Euphoria fans. The laid-back drug dealer was one of the most quotable characters, and his career was almost a juxtaposition to his laid-back nature and the loyalty he displayed even when this put him at dangerous odds with members of the criminal underworld.
Euphoria season 3 is in development, and there are no plans to recast Angus Cloud as Fez. It’s unclear how the show will handle the end of his characters arc, but comments from the show creators and how close Angus Cloud was to the cast and crew suggest they’ll ensure he gets a fitting exit that does justice to the late actor’s legacy.
