Amnesia Bunker gameplay
The gameplay of Amnesia: The Bunker puts players in the role of French soldier Henri Clément in a chilling World War I setting. Henry is trapped in a dark underground bunker, his life constantly threatened by a terrifying light-sensitive monster known as “The Beast.” In order to survive, players must maintain the power supply of the bunker while searching for resources and scarce ammunition scattered randomly across the map. Henry wields weapons like revolvers and shotguns, as well as throwable items like grenades and flares to fight lurking terrorists.
The lights in the bunker were still dim, and Henry used his watch to monitor the generator’s fuel level. If the power goes out, the bunker is shrouded in darkness and the beast becomes an active threat. Players must scramble to refuel their generators and rely on their noisy generator flashlights to navigate pitch-black environments with limited fuel supplies.

Unlike previous “Amnesia” games, “The Bunker” provides a semi-open world, allowing players to have more freedom in the game. There are fewer and fewer scripted moments, and the beast is always a threatening presence. Players can interact with the environment creatively, such as using gasoline to create temporary light sources. Safe rooms provide respite to store items and save games. It’s worth noting that this section doesn’t include the sanity mechanics from earlier games in the series.
amnesia bunker episode
Amnesia: The Bunker takes place during World War I as French soldier Henri Clement searches for his missing friend Augustin Lambert. After finding Lambert in a bomb crater, they are discovered by the Germans and a shell explosion renders Henry unconscious. He wakes up in an abandoned bunker with no memory of how he got there. While exploring, Henry meets a surviving soldier who instructs him to find explosives and detonators to escape. However, the soldier was killed by a strange creature, the Beast, which had been causing terror in the bunker.
Henry uncovers a series of clues that reveal the horrific events that led to their predicament. The bunker garrison discovers an ancient Roman tunnel, causing hallucinations and nightmares and soldiers sabotaging excavation efforts. Henry feels guilty about Lambert’s disappearance, prompting him to search for his friend, unaware that Lambert’s exposure to water in the ruins of Rome transformed him into a beast and was responsible for the massacre of the garrison.
Henry finally faces the beast and makes a crucial choice. Depending on the outcome, Henry will either escape the ruins with his fate uncertain, or the Beast will escape with him into the war-torn land. The story tells a gripping journey of survival and horror deep within a haunted bunker.
