Heavensbee took over shortly after Crane’s death and met Katniss on her and Peeta’s Victory Tour. Heavensbee initially showed no outward favoritism toward the tributes.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
(2013), the film in which Plutarch plays the Head Gamesmaker, is the most acclaimed of the franchise with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 90%.
Later, however, he revealed his true allegiance to the Rebellion after rescuing Katniss and her allies from the arena, bringing down the Capital’s force field and causing the 75th Hunger Games to have no winner. Returning home to District 12 after their victory in the 74th Annual Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) begin to sense an impending rebellion against the oppressive Capitol.
